Role OverviewThe Key Accounts Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value clients ensuring retention profitability and growth. The role involves multi-level engagement across client organisations coordination with internal teams and strategic planning to strengthen the companys presence across the Southern Africa corridor.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic business plans for each Key Account.
- Lead multi-level client engagement from operational teams to decision-makers.
- Track and report financial performance vs. targets (Gross Margin tracking budgeting).
- Drive new and extension business within key and existing accounts.
- Participate in tender processes pricing negotiations and RFQ submissions.
- Lead monthly performance reviews with clients supported by internal reporting teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal front middle and back-office teams to ensure client satisfaction and issue resolution.
- Maintain client information and market intelligence to identify threats and opportunities.
Requirements- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain sector.
- Proven experience in key account development across regional logistics operations.
- Strong commercial acumen client-facing credibility and data-driven decision making.
- CRM proficiency and solid understanding of supply chain end-to-end.
