About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for 3 Project Officers to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment flora fauna and Aboriginal heritage with a focus on construction and Infrtasure works to repair damaged assets post flood event.
As the Project Officer you will support the Assets and Infrastructure teams with the delivery of projects intended to replace damaged assets post major flood event build resilience against future natural disasters (flooding and fire) with a focus on roads bridges landslips drainage and associated road transport infrastructure as well as visitor assets such as walking tracks.
As a Project Officer you will manage and coordinate projects across the Hunter Central Coast Branch for the development implementation and evaluation of diverse and complex infrastructure projects ensuring completion within required deadlines and quality standards. You will be required to consult with internal agency stakeholders seek and apply technical information undertake procurement actions manage a range of contract types and manage projects throughout the project management lifecycle and provide information for updating Asset Management systems and projects are within approvals relevant standards and policies and NPWS legislation and policies.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic Project Officer with excellent project management skills experience in managing contracts and procurement process asset construction or civil experience data management and good communication skills. As Project Officer you will be comfortable undertaking lead as part on multiple projects at a time have good time management written and verbal communications skills with willingness to travel throughout the Branch to NPWS reserves.
