Job Description

Description: An analytical testing laboratory is seeking a Regional Agricultural Sales Representative to join their Pesticides Department. The Regional Agricultural Sales Representative will report to the Head of Pesticides and the objectives of the job include but are not limited to being responsible for all new business sales activities from lead generation to closing sales; together with the Head of Pesticides developing and implementing a Sales and Marketing plan which will meet the goals of expanding the customer base; being a brand ambassador and maintaining the company image; managing new client relationships from prospecting to account management; and having a thorough understanding of all chemical/microbiological analyses carrier out by the company.
Key Requirements: Sales and Marketing or B. Tech in Chemistry/Agriculture/Horticulture/Plant Pathology agricultural knowledge of residues/chemical analysis and the willingness to frequently travel to production areas. Being able to speak English and Afrikaans and a valid driving license is required. Food manufacturing knowledge will be advantageous.
Additional Requirements: The ideal candidate should be customer-centric target driven detail orientated; have excellent interpersonal communication leadership and people management problem solving and organizational skills; and have the ability to adapt to diverse situations and work in a team.
