An exciting opportunity has become available for a Reconciliation Specialist in the Client Administration of Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) Funds. Youll work closely with the Head of Client Administration and other senior leaders to ensure the financial integrity of both local and offshore fund operations. Youll play a vital part in managing and reviewing complex daily reconciliations identifying issues early and ensuring financial accuracy in a fast-paced high-accountability environment.
Perform the full financial function for client administration across local and offshore teams
Prepare and review daily bank reconciliations
Review FNZ reconciliations daily to ensure accuracy of external fund transactions
Prepare EMX Creations and Finswitch reconciliations in line with internal schedules
Instruct and process reversal of unpaid transactions ensuring root-cause resolution and corrective actions
Conduct reviews of key financial controls within the client administration control environment
Prepare monthly commission and rebate reconciliations
Collaborate with operations to meet internal and regulatory reporting requirements
Identify and escalate anomalies or reconciliation breaks in a timely manner
Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation procedures and findings
Skills & Experience:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to review complex data
Effective verbal and written communication
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities
Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook Word Excel (Power BI advantageous)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all reconciliation activities
Analytical Thinking: Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision
Communication: Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
Problem Solving: Capability to identify escalate and assist in solving financial and system-related issues
Leadership: Ability to work independently and take initiative within a team setting
Financial Systems Knowledge
: Understanding of financial systems and internal controls related to asset management
Qualification:A recognized university degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in the CIS environment within the financial services industry
Proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate level required)
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and fluency in at least one other official South African language
