Job Description

Billing & Document Controller

Position Type: Fixed Term Contract
Location: Bryanston
Salary: Market Related

A well-established market leader in the logistics industry seeks a Billing & Document Controller to join their Bryanston-based team.

As the Billing and Document Controller you will be responsible for the end-to-end billing status and export/import documentation for shipments into Africa ensuring accurate records timely originals and smooth client clearance at destination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Add new shipments to billing reports
  • Update GR/billed shipment status timeously
  • Run price simulations and match SOP to PFI
  • Ensure approved orders are captured and values/quantities align with the PFI
  • Prepare commercial invoices packing lists and letters of credit packs
  • Ensure correct bills of lading and all supporting documents
  • Track containers and document flows
  • Confirm/amend documents with factories
  • Dispatch originals to clients on time and follow up daily to meet clearance deadlines.
  • Maintain and update status reports
  • Verify order list details against PFI & SI .

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Logistics-related qualification
  • 5 years in a logistics environment with strong exposure to shipping documentation
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms
  • Experience with container tracking and billing control
