Job Description

QA/QC Inspector (Marine)- Job Description

1. To carry out Fit up visual inspection and dimensional confirmation as per approved drawings and submit the report.

2. To perform NDT (MPI DPT UT RT) as per project requirements and submit the report.

3. To carry out Ultrasonic thickness gauging inspection and prepare the report as per Class requirements using AutoCAD drawing methods and Thickness measurement software of respective class.

4. Witnessing of pressure testing and vacuum testing as per project requirements and issuing the certificate.

5. Work in liaison with client contacts for the scheduled QA/QC surveillance activities.

6. Work in liaison with class societies and third-party inspection agencies for conduction inspection and surveys and other scheduled quality assurance activities.

7. Perform testing/inspection/measurement activities in mechanical and machine shop jobs including trueness shaft alignment bearing alignment etc.

8. Perform Paint material incoming inspection blasting and painting final inspection.

9. Monitor adherence to procedures by respective production teams.

10. Ensuring the proper welding consumable control material handling identification and traceability and calibration etc.

11. Involve in investigation and root cause analysis for NCR/customer complaint and other non-conformities.

12. QA/QC documents and records are maintained in accordance with document control procedures.

13. Perform incoming material inspection and prepare report.

14. Prepare welding and NDT traceability Master trackers (If required).

15. Ensure that QA/QC inspection instruments are calibrated and register is maintained.

16. Ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered at work.

17. Perform any other duties assigned by the management

Qualification & Experience:

1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy

2. Min. 3 years of experience in Marine/Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical having GCC experience is preferred

3. Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI certificates

4. Certified ASNT Level II in RT UT PT MT

5. Having NACE Level II /BGAS Gr. 2 certificates will be an added advantage

6. ISO 9001:2015 QMS Training certificates will be an added advantage
