Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for the accurate and efficient resolution of collection issues related to past due customer accounts. Primary job includes calling and emailing past due accounts logging metrics on dollars collected and number of calls/emails made daily answering collection emails that come in addition skip traces customers that have not left a forwarding addresses or phone numbers.
Job Responsibilities
Contact delinquent accounts for small commercial residential and large commercial retail electric customers
Work with utilities in other states to resolve delinquent accounts in other markets
Answer collection inbox emails
Provide detailed reporting on collection activity
Work with internal personnel to resolve complex collection issues
Job Requirements
1 - 2 years of related experience preferred
Experience in MS Office Suites preferred
Experience in Energy industry and knowledge of REP ERCOT PJM MISO NYISO PUC and/or TDSP / TDU standards preferred
Experience using Accurint or other skip-tracing tools preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent Degree Required
Ability to identify both problems and their causes
Ability to develop solutions to resolve and prevent problems
Excellent analytical skills required
Excellent customer services skills required
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and excellent telephone etiquette is preferred
