About the Position
The Substance UseDisorder Professional (SUDP) Clinical Supervisor is aleadership role within The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations. TheClinical Supervisor is responsible for supporting mentoring and supervising a multidisciplinary teamof clinical staff ensuring the delivery of high-quality culturallyresponsive and trauma-informed care. This position oversees clinical functionsincluding assessments individualized treatment planning progress monitoringdischarge planning and coordination of continuing care. The ClinicalSupervisor ensures that all clinical services align with agency standardsstate and federal regulations and accreditation requirements (e.g. WAC ASAMand IHS guidelines).
Workingclosely with the Behavioral Health Director this role also contributes to programdevelopment process improvement and the professionalgrowth of clinical staff. The ideal candidate will bring demonstratedleadership a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of adolescentbehavioral health and substance use treatment in a residential setting. Apassion for culturally grounded care team collaboration and continuousquality improvement is essential.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities include the duties responsibilities and activities may change or be assignedat any time with or without notice. Mustbe able to read write and understand English.
Be knowledgeable about ASAM criteria andco-occurring disorders to distinguish care between substance use and mentalhealth disorder supporting the integrated behavioral health services
Ensures that files are presented in an organized and efficientmanner and all relevant assessment data is integrated into the treatmentplanning for each patient including information from family community andreferral sources.
Reviews the counselors case presentation and provides regularguidance on working with the and coaches counseling staff as needed.
Plan and facilitate regularly scheduled clinicalsupervision meetings.
Guides and mentors clinical staff in fulfillment of WAC medicalbilling and accreditation standards and organization policies and procedures. Reports violations or concerns to BehavioralHealth Director.
Ensure clinical and patient records are properly maintainedcomplete and up to date and reflect quality patient care.
Performs a semi-annual review of a sample of the clinical recordskept by each SUDP(T).
Ensures the aftercare planning and placement process begins atadmission and discussed with clinical staffing.
Performs individual and/or group counseling sessions when regularcounseling staff are not available.
Establishes and maintains quality liaisons with agenciescommunity groups and other resources that may be referred to patients.
Works very closely and collaborates with BIS Program to ensure dailyoperational processes and procedures are followed and are in the best interestof the residents.
Attend group therapy and individual sessionsperiodically to provide feedback to clinicians and assess effectiveness ofcurricula approach and program materials.
Be available for the after-hours on-call support ona rotating basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The ClinicalSupervisor plays a key leadership role in supporting and advancing theorganizations mission by overseeing the day-to-day operations of clinicalstaff in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws. Coreresponsibilities include recruiting hiring training and mentoring staff;planning and delegating workload; monitoring and evaluating performance;monitoring compliance and effectively managing employee relations includingrecognition coaching and conflict resolution.
This positionalso plays a critical role in program development and continuous processimprovement. The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities toenhance clinical services streamline workflows and implement best practicesthat improve quality of care and operational efficiency. Strong analyticalthinking initiative and a commitment to data-informed decision-making areessential. Educationand/or Experience:
Minimumqualifications include an Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency/Addiction Studiesfrom an accredited institution. A bachelors degree in behavioral health relatedfield is preferredespecially with coursework or certification in co-occurring disorders.A MastersDegree in Counseling Social Work or a closely relateddiscipline is highlypreferred with licensure as an MSW LCSW LMHP LPC or LMFTbeing advantageous.
Candidatesmust have a minimum of five years of licensed experience in behavioralhealth or substance use treatment and supervisory experience. Preferredexperience includes work in inpatient or residential treatment settings withadolescents and populations experiencing co-occurringdisorders.
A strongworking knowledge of Washington Administrative Code (WAC) AmericanSociety of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria and evidence-basedpractices is essential. Familiarity with statefederal and Indian Health Service (IHS) licensingcertification and accreditation requirements is strongly preferred.
CertificatesLicenses or Registrations:
Must hold a current and active Washington State Substance UseDisorder Professional (SUDP) license.
Must possess and maintain Clinical Supervisor certification as required byWashington State Department of Health.
A valid Washington State Drivers License is requiredwith the ability to travel frequently and operate agency vehicles.
Preferred licensure includes MSW LCSW LMHP LPC LMFTor other advanced behavioral health credentials.
Computer Skills:
Toperform this job successfully an individual must have basic computer skillsincluding working knowledge in MSOffice Suite including Outlook Word Excel & PowerPoint. Must be knowledgeable in an EHR system.
