Summary

Southwest General Health Center is a 352-bed community hospital located in Middleburg Heights Ohio. CLINICAL MANAGER COSGROVE MATERNITY CENTER

The Cosgrove Maternity Center is a 38-bedunit that cares for maternity includes delivery ofbabies at 32-weeks gestation and up antepartum and postpartum care and aspecial care manager willhave oversight ofantepartum postpartum NICU and theORsdesigned for C-section delivery / maternity-related have call responsibilities.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall operations of the clinical/business and support services for the department(s) for which they have been assigned responsibility. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the development coordination and monitoring of activities that promote clinically effective and efficient patient care. Responsible for the planning organization and direction of patient care activities in their department/unit(s). Demonstrates leadership competencies and values through the development and coaching of direct reports. Promotes succession planning. Monitors employee retention recruitment and satisfaction. Consults and collaborates with other healthcare team members to provide safe and appropriate patient care. Ensures a culture of accountability. Demonstrates the ability to problem-solve. Leads by vision.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective problem-solving/decision-making abilities. The ability to plan and prioritize with excellent time management skills is essential to success in this role. The Clinical Manager performs with initiative and innovation witha knowledge of practice requirements for RN and LPN as mandated by the Nurse Practice Act. Knowledge of regulatory and governing bodys standards is also essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing. Bachelors degree required.

Required length of experience:
Five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting with three (3) years successful experience in a leadership position strongly preferred.

Required licensure certification and/or registry:
Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
CPR/BLSNRP and STABLErequired.
