Job Summary:
The Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicines mission is to provide outstanding cutting-edge clinical care research and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a board-eligible or board-qualified neurotologist with subspecialty training in Neurotology to join the full-time faculty.
Clinical service in the field of Neurotology with the primary location for this position being the University of Colorado Hospital at Anschutz Medical Campus as well as surrounding network of care sites.
Development of a translational research program to complement the Auditory and vestibular sciences or other research groups at the University of Colorado with key milestones that can include obtaining K and R level NIH funding. Significant support and mentorship towards these milestones will be provided from the Department Chair research faculty in the Department and investigators within the basic science research groups noted above.
Teaching and mentoring of fellows residents medical students and other related trainees.
Faculty expectation for regular academic/scholarship/research activities toward academic promotion
Work Location: This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor:
Doctor of Medicine degree
Fellowship trained in Neurotology
Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
Board Certified or Board Qualified in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and in Neurotology & Otology
If Board Qualified must receive Board Certification within 2 years of hire.
Associate Professor:
Doctor of Medicine degree
Board Certified in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and in Neurotology & Otology
Fellowship trained in Neurotology
4 years of experience at rank or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
Professor:
Doctor of Medicine degree
Board Certified in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and in Neurotology & Otology
Fellowship trained in Neurotology
7 years of experience at rank or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
We note that the ranges below reflect the base (fixed) salary ranges in alignment with AAMC Benchmarks by each rank (25th percentile AAMC). Faculty total compensation which is variable based on production and academic output typically ranges between the median and 75th percentile AAMC with opportunity to exceed beyond the 75th.
Assistant Professor: The base salary range for this position has been established at $250000 - $350000.
Associate Professor: The salary range for this position has been established at $275000 - $375000.
Professor: The salary range for this position has been established at $300000 - $400000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
