Job Description

Hourly Pay Range:

$40.45 - $62.70 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Clinical Coordinator RN/Charge RN - Day Surgery Center Operating Room
  • Location: Arlington Heights IL
  • Full time/Part time: Full Time 40 hours/week
  • Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday - Friday; No weekend no holidays no call
  • Required Travel: No


What you will do:

  • Provides leadership direction and resource (human and material) management to assure appropriate implementation of policies and procedures for delivery of patient care assesses the effectiveness of resources and facilitates teamwork positive work environment and collaboration between all members of the health care team. Participates in development of the departments vision and planning. Plans schedules and adjusts staff to meet department and hospital requirements.
  • Assists surgical teams in achieving quality patient outcomes by managing day-to-day Operating Room (OR) operations and facilitating collaboration among the interdisciplinary team i.e. surgeons anesthesiologists surgical assistants scheduling coordinators and other departments to meet the clinical care coordination needs of patients. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify resources needed and resolve issues that affect patients and the team. Communicates and collaborates with other surgical support areas to provide continuous smooth transition of care and day-to-day operations between units. Provides oversight to ensure adequate unit supplies equipment and stock.
  • Interviews recommends hires disciplines and recommends discharges (when necessary) subordinate team members in accordance with Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) policies and procedures. Regularly evaluates the ongoing performance of team members in accordance with the hospitals performance management system. Guides and promotes the development of staff. Organizes and conducts monthly staff meetings to review data findings discuss problems identified with system related issues outcomes standards of practice and/or other related practice issues. Demonstrates accountability for outcomes through critical thinking and effective problem resolution. Follows through on all issues challenges or roadblocks affecting the outcomes of the department.

What you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree Nursing Preferred
  • 2 years of experience in an acute care OR setting required.
  • 1 Year previous leadership experience preferred. CNOR preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Required
  • AHA Heartsaver CPR - American Heart Association (AHA) Required
