Job Description:

The opportunity

As PL HSE Manager you will report directly to the HUB HSE Manager and functionally to I&C Manager and Support Insulation and Components Business in meeting the HSE KPIs of the Business Units. You will work closely with regional and factory operations teams and take an active role in the decision-making process to advise and support the implementation of safety critical controls. Following would be requirements of the role. Weekly call with all the Insulation and Components Units to ensure compliance

How youll make an impact

  • Prepare the insulation and components business in line with Hitachi Energy Management system requirements

  • Imparting Mandatory Training to insulation and components Team across the HUB

  • Lead the Person Incharge of Work training requirements in the Business Line

  • Reviewing risk assessment and Lifesaving rules compliance of insulation and components in HUB and supporting the countries

  • Manage all required documentation operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with ISO standards

  • Compile all NCs prepare corrective action and follow up for closure of NCs for insulation and components Units

  • Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents and near misses

  • Review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and recommend corrective action

  • Prepare and timely submit all MIS & reports

  • Lead and support the factories on Machine Safety Requirements and compliance. Implement the Machine Safety standards in all the HUB Factories.

Your background

  • The person must have Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical or Process Engineering and any other engineering (HSE education or similar experiences is desirable).

  • Engineering graduate with 15 years of experience in Transformer Factory NEBOSH IGC Certificate

  • The position requires self-initiative on preparing procedures / working with factories to make sure these procedures are well implemented

  • Learn and drive the initiatives of BU on environment directly with factories with Factory Manager / Production Manager and Factory HSE

  • Self-Motivation and good communication with factories to bring compliance on HSE

  • Self-driven and Self-Motivation soft skills.
