NINOS Inc. provides comprehensive services to children and families in Cameron and Willacy Counties through Head Start and Early Head Start programs. We are seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven Director of Finance to lead our finance department ensure fiscal integrity and support our commitment to children and families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field.
5 years of accounting and finance management experience with Head Start grants.
Supervisory experience in fiscal management and administration.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.
Valid drivers license reliable transportation and clear background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA license or equivalent.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or resident of Cameron or Willacy County.
Experience working with diverse and disadvantaged populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all finance operations including budgeting payroll procurement and audits.
Ensure compliance with GAAP federal and state regulations and Head Start Performance Standards.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements reports and grant submissions.
Lead and supervise finance staff fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Coordinate annual audits tax filings and federal financial reporting.
Present financial updates to leadership Policy Council and Board of Directors.
