Essential Job Duties
Description
The Project Controls Specialist 2 focuses on advanced project control functions including cost analysis schedule management and risk assessment. They will support project teams in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining compliance with financial and reporting standards.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets
- Analyze costs for labor materials and subcontracts
- Support project teams in executing project controls processes
- Support construction staking and design survey operations using advanced digital equipment
- Assist project teams in analyzing costs for labor materials subcontracts and general conditions
- Work directly with Project Managers and Senior Project Control Specialists to execute project controls processes
Cost Management Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on project financial performance
- Conduct cost forecasting and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints
- Update revenue cost and profit projections based on project analysis
- Monitor project financial performance and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints
- Conduct cost forecasting and variance analysis to inform decision-making
Project Oversight
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Senior Specialists
- Track project progress and identify potential risks
- Facilitate change management processes
- Track budgets and schedules monitoring project progress and identifying risks

- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely execution of project controls
Risk Management
- Assess risk exposure and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards
- Gauge risk exposure and develop sound risk control measures
- Act safely at all times ensuring compliance with safety standards
Reporting
- Prepare detailed financial and status reports for stakeholders
- Respond to inquiries from project leadership and external parties
- Develop weekly/monthly cost and status reports for project teams
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of project budgets and financial forecasts
Project Coordination
- Assist in the coordination of project activities and resources
- Perform complex project control tasks as needed A Project Controls Specialist 2 is responsible for advanced project control functions ensuring effective management of costs schedules and risks associated with construction projects.
- This role requires collaboration with various project stakeholders to maintain project integrity and compliance.
- Support Program Management and teams in conducting data analysis
- Conduct project impact assessments and regulatory gap assessments as needed
- Assist in the administration and coordination of project activities and resources
Qualifications
Required Qualification:- Years of Experience/Education/Certificates/Training:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management Project Management Business Administration or related fields.
- Six (6) to Eight (8) years of related full-time paid experience.
Wage Requirement
- Starting Salary range for this job is $117565.00 - $135200.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill education experience and working environment
