Job Description
Job Title: PLM Engineer
Location: Raymond OH
Job Descripton:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical and electromechanical products from concept to production.
- The ideal candidate will take full ownership of each component ensuring high-quality standards through rigorous analysis prototyping testing and collaboration with manufacturing partners.
- This role is pivotal in delivering innovative and reliable solutions for the aftermarket automotive industry.
Skill Requirements:
Mechanical Design Expertise:
- 6 years of experience in mechanical and electromechanical product design and development.
- Proven track record in the aftermarket automotive industry.
CAD & Drafting Proficiency:
- 5 years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools: SolidWorks AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor.
- 3 years of experience in GD&T drafting techniques.
- Prototyping & Reverse Engineering:
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering 3D printing and prototyping.
Manufacturing Collaboration:
- 3 years of experience working with manufacturers and vendors to enhance product quality performance and production schedules.
- Support vendor development to expand manufacturing capabilities and geographical reach.
Quality & Reliability:
- Conduct defect analysis validation activities and maintain QA documentation.
- Implement inspection and testing procedures to ensure product reliability.
Project & Time Management:
- Ability to manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget constraints.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
Cost & Material Analysis:
- Perform statistical analysis to assess product and material costs.
- Research and review external components and materials for compliance and compatibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in vendor qualification and supplier management is a plus.
