Job Description

Job Title: PLM Engineer

Location: Raymond OH

Job Descripton:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical and electromechanical products from concept to production.
  • The ideal candidate will take full ownership of each component ensuring high-quality standards through rigorous analysis prototyping testing and collaboration with manufacturing partners.
  • This role is pivotal in delivering innovative and reliable solutions for the aftermarket automotive industry.

Skill Requirements:

Mechanical Design Expertise:

  • 6 years of experience in mechanical and electromechanical product design and development.
  • Proven track record in the aftermarket automotive industry.

CAD & Drafting Proficiency:

  • 5 years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools: SolidWorks AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor.
  • 3 years of experience in GD&T drafting techniques.
  • Prototyping & Reverse Engineering:
  • Hands-on experience with reverse engineering 3D printing and prototyping.

Manufacturing Collaboration:

  • 3 years of experience working with manufacturers and vendors to enhance product quality performance and production schedules.
  • Support vendor development to expand manufacturing capabilities and geographical reach.

Quality & Reliability:

  • Conduct defect analysis validation activities and maintain QA documentation.
  • Implement inspection and testing procedures to ensure product reliability.

Project & Time Management:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget constraints.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills.

Cost & Material Analysis:

  • Perform statistical analysis to assess product and material costs.
  • Research and review external components and materials for compliance and compatibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in vendor qualification and supplier management is a plus.
