Leidos Defense Systems / Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Production Manager to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville AL. The Production Manager leads people and processes overseeing the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing production machine shop.

Primary Responsibilities
Direct team activities with the goal of manufacturing the best possible products on-time while maintaining a safe working environment continuously improving processes being an asset to customers and developing employees in knowledge/competency resulting in a more effective team.
Candidate must be flexible and be able to respond positively to changes and challenges. They should be able to think outside the box to solve problems and willing to go the extra mile to ensure organization goals are met.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate must have experience managing CNC Mills & CNC Lathes in a low rate high mix work environment.
Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Proficient in MS office and MRP software.
Applicant must be able to work a full-time 2nd shift Monday-Thursday.
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience managing greater than 5 employees.
5 axis machining experience utilizing Siemens Fanac and HAAS controls.
Experience managing machining in a high mix low-rate environment.
Six Sigma Green belt.
Come break things (in a good way). Then build them smarter.
Were the tech company everyone calls when things get weird. We dont wear capes (theyre a safety hazard) but we do solve high-stakes problems with code caffeine and a healthy disregard for how its always been done.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89700.00 - $162150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
