Current Phlebotomy Certification required for this role.
Education/Skills Required:
1. A high school diploma or GED is required.
2. Experience with Microsoft Office products and data entry programs is preferred.
3. Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal required to meet regulatory agencies requirements.
4. Previous Laboratory or Healthcare experience and/or able to demonstrate proficient competency at a Level One (1) Laboratory Assistant is required.
5. Maintains phlebotomy certification through continuing education credits.
6. Will be responsible for on-call in the laboratory per union contract.
7. AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to date of renewal.
As applicable the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
