Join a highly respected team at Saint Agnes Medical Center and provide essential in-house OB/GYN care in a dynamic hospital setting with Level II and III NICU support.
Is there a midwife or 2 on with the ob hospitalist to do the low risk care triage rounding No.
Is the ob hospitalist covering unassigned patients only Or patients of any employed obgyns by st Agnes Or private patients Unassigned as well as patients from the private practice physicians. Two groups - the Saint Agnes physicians and a local FQHC also have 24 hour call schedules.
Does the ob hospitalist cover the ER and gyn as well Yes. Off-service GYN post-ops are rounded on by the surgeon unless specifically signed out to the service.
If covering private patients what is the role Covers all aspects of the private practice (4 physicians) in-house OB care. Scheduled C/S performed by attending not hospitalist unless attending out of town & requests surgery to be done by hospitalist. Scheduled C/S will have pre-arranged assistant & does not require hospitalist to participate
Does the ob hospitalist back them up for emergencies only or c sections. Or manage their labors and triage ER visits of the 4 private practice physicians covered by hospitalist

Is there one or two ob hospitalists on duty at a time one physician on Primary duty and another on a Back up schedule that can be called in by staff. Physicians present on the floor can also help assist. There are also Residents assigned to the OBED.
How many deliveries per month Average of 120 deliveries per month
How many are private and how many are hospitalist service An average of10% of deliveries each month are for patients classified as No prenatal care .
Is there a back up on call should there be a super busy shift with multiple emergencies like c section and ruptured ectopic going at the same time to OR Yes there is a separate back up schedule and a back up physician can be called in at any time.
