Practice Setting: Clinical Areas - Adult Inpatient / Hospital-based acute care 24-hour covereage
Reason for Coverage: Existing GI practice will no longer provide hospital-based coverage
Dates of Coverage: Starting February 1 2026
Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 15 20 (clinic) 5 (hospital-based)
The schedule follows a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation. Two providers will alternate weekly coverage across two campuses

Onsite X-Ray Yes
Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
Board Requirements
: Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Will You Accept Providers Needing to Obtain State
License Yes
Required Procedures:
- Lower GI Endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
- Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
- Small Bowel Biopsy
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
- Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
Upper GI Endoscopy Procedures:- With Biopsy
- With Foreign Body Removal
- With Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery or Laser)
- With Injection or Banding of Varices
- With ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic
- With PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 120 days
Requirement description :
Required at time of name clear please note in order to avoid being redirected:
- Board Certification REQUIRED
- New Jersey License (or willingness to obtain) Highly preferred
- Proficiency in advanced GI procedures (including: ERCP EUS) - REQUIRED
- Experience with Cerner EMR Preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a Level 2 trauma center
- Rates for Presentations:
- Malpractice rate
- Daily Rate (in house) 7am-5pm
- Night call- 5pm-7am

Weekend Requirements : Weekend coverage required as part of the 7-on/7-off call rotation.
