Job Overview/Summary:
The Clinical Manager Med Surg will oversee daily operations of the medical-surgical unit ensuring exceptional patient care optimal resource utilization and high staff engagement. This role requires strong clinical expertise proven leadership skills and the ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the medical-surgical nursing team.

• Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality patient outcomes.

• Oversee scheduling resource allocation and workflow efficiency.

• Mentor and coach staff for professional growth and performance excellence.

• Ensure compliance with clinical standards hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Act as liaison between nursing staff physicians and hospital leadership.

• Lead meetings set priorities and manage project deadlines effectively.

• Address operational challenges and resolve conflicts proactively.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

• Familiarity with healthcare data analytics and reporting.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical role within medical/surgical services.

• At least 2 years of progressive management experience.

• Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree preferred.

• Current RN license in applicable state.
