Job Description
As a Senior Cost Manager and Estimator you will lead the delivery of cost management services across major infrastructure projects in NSW. Your role will ensure client objectives are met through accurate estimating cost planning and commercial oversight.
- Cost Management Lead pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties including cost estimates procurement and contract administration
- Feasibility & Planning Conduct feasibility studies and develop detailed cost plans to support project decision-making
- Tendering & Procurement Manage tender processes including pre-qualification tender analysis reporting and contract documentation
- Valuations & Reporting Perform cost checks valuations and produce monthly post-contract cost reports for clients
- Client Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders supporting business development initiatives
Qualifications :
- Education Recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related discipline
- Professional Accreditation Additional industry certifications such as RICS AIQS CIOB or APM are advantageous
- Technical Proficiency Experience using estimating software such as CostX Expert Estimator or similar tools
- Communication Skills Strong written and verbal English skills with the ability to produce professional reports and client-facing material
- Team Contribution Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to thrive in high-performing collaborative environments
- Industry Experience 510 years of relevant experience with strong exposure to infrastructure projects in mobility or power & utilities sectors
- Cost Estimating Expertise Clear understanding of cost estimating standards and industry best practices
- Collaboration Proven reputation for working effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Client Focus Highly motivated with a strong commitment to delivering excellence for clients
