Job Description

Essential Duties:  The following are the normal duties performed by this position.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Perform general assembly work of machined components using various equipment
  2. Operate various production equipment including auto and manual metal stamping presses foot shear brake press drills honing machines manual mills and manual lathes to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation.  This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
  3. Correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner.
  4. Perform 1st piece in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers calipers comparators various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
  5. Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications.
  6. Perform operator maintenance.
  7. Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues.  Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
  8. Perform de-burr or rework of work in-process.
  9. Maintain work station to 5S standards.
  10. Perform all work according to PAC safety standards.
  11. Comply with all PAC policy and procedures.

Qualifications :

Physical Conditions:

  1. Vision to AS 9100 standards.
  2. Hand/eye coordination and dexterity to effectively work with both large and small hand tools.
  3. Lift push and/or pull 50 pounds.
  4. Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
  5. Routinely perform reaching twisting bending and grasping in order to move and set tools equipment and material.

Suggested Qualifications:

  1. 1 year of successful essential duty related experience including operation of non-CNC relevant equipment.
  2. Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers calipers gauges (pin thread indicator height) optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  3. High school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Blueprint reading skills.
  5. Basic Windows and MS Office skills.
  6. Ability to perform basic math functions.
