Job Description

The Cost Administrator is responsible for supporting financial operations by managing cost data tracking project expenses and ensuring accurate reporting. This role plays a key part in budgeting forecasting and cost control processes to help maintain financial efficiency across projects or departments. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and track project or departmental costs against budgets.
  • Prepare and maintain cost reports forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial plans.
  • Review and verify invoices purchase orders and expense claims.
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to ensure cost accuracy.
  • Maintain cost databases and ensure data integrity.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field. 
  • 2 years of experience in cost administration financial analysis or accounting. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks). 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in construction manufacturing or project-based industries. 
  • Familiarity with cost control methodologies and financial reporting standards.
