Program & Services Manager
Position Summary
GenPrides Program & Services Manager leads the delivery and partners in the design and growth of programs support services outreach and education and community engagement opportunities that advance GenPrides mission and meet the evolving needs of LGBTQIA2S older adults in Seattle and King County.
Centered in racial aging and LGBTQIA2S equity the Program & Services Manager is a collaborative leader who thrives in a dynamic community-centered organization poised for growth and transformation. They foster vibrant programs responsive support services and lead a small high-impact team dedicated to collaborating with LGBTQIA2S elders to transform what it is like to grow older in Seattle and King County.
This full-time exempt position is primarily based in-person at the GenPride Center at Pride Place in Capitol Hill a high-traffic community space with frequent interruptions. Early morning evening and weekend hours should be expected. The Program & Services Manager supervises a small team and collaborates extensively with elders volunteers staff and partners to advance shared goals.

We offer innovative programs responsive support services and meaningful opportunities that promote wellness prevent isolation and cultivate belonging.
GenPride also provides training to LGBTQIA2S and senior-serving organizations to build a skilled sense of belonging across King County.
Located in Seattles Capitol Hill neighborhood the GenPride Center is on the ground floor of the Pride Place complex our regions first affordable affirming housing and community center for older LGBTQIA2S-adults. The GenPride Center at Pride Place is a vibrant gathering space and hub for GenPrides work to build a future where LGBTQIA2S elders are widely seen supported and celebrated.
Primary Responsibilities
GenPride Center (25%)
- Oversee daily operations and logistics of the GenPride Center to ensure a safe accessible and welcoming multicultural space including evenings and weekends.
- Maintain consistent staff and volunteer coverage clear protocols and responsive programming that fosters belonging especially for the most marginalized.
- Respond to crises and participant feedback to support continuous improvement and care.
Programs & Services (30%)
- Lead the delivery and evaluation of inclusive community-centered in person and online programs and services that reflect the identities and lived experiences of LGBTQIA2S elders across Seattle and King County especially those most impacted by system inequities.
- Center volunteer elder leadership and community partnerships in program and service development and delivery.
- Develop guide and evaluate culturally responsive support services including information and referral peer-led support groups food and technology access caregiver resources end-of-life care and more.
- Ensure all services are trauma strengths and equity-informed and responsive to emerging community needs across LGBTQIA2S identities and experiences.
Outreach & Education (20%)
- Manage and evaluate GenPrides LGBTQIA2S cultural competency trainings for area providers centered on a volunteer educator model.
- Design and oversee internal volunteer training to build a strong team of ambassadors equipped with equity-informed skills to support GenPrides outreach education programs and Center operations.
- Ensure GenPrides visibility through coordinated outreach strategies leveraging a representative and engaged volunteer base.
Operations & Compliance (15%)
- Supervise and support a small high-performing team responsible for programs services outreach and education.
- Implement and maintain systems for accurate and timely reporting data tracking and documentation in compliance with GenPride funder and regulatory requirements.
- Safeguard participant and volunteer information through secure ethical data practices.
- Monitor operations scheduling expenditures and internal workflows to ensure organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with others to regularly review and update the volunteer onboarding process including orientation training and ongoing support.
Internal Leadership (10%)
- Integrate a racial aging and LGBTQIA2S equity lens into team planning supervision and organizational strategy.
- Commit to ongoing personal growth and equity learning.
- Actively contribute to building an inclusive joyful mission-driven organizational culture.
- Meaningfully participate in and lead caucus and working groups organizational learning sessions and other opportunities to shape our organizational culture.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager Engagement & Development Director and Executive Director.
Desired Qualifications
Tangible Skills
- Experienced in engaging and supporting older adults and volunteers especially those who identify as LGBTQIA2S and/or Black Indigenous and other People of Color.
- Experience overseeing daily operations of a high-traffic community or senior center.
- Demonstrated ability to design deliver and evaluate inclusive programs and services.
- Proven ability to apply racial aging and LGBTQIA2S equity frameworks and intersectional analysis to programs services training and organizational culture design delivery and evaluation.
- Skilled in building collaborative partnerships and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Experienced in developing and supporting volunteer-led programs and/or training models.
- Skilled in de-escalation techniques. Deep understanding of peer- support models life-stage needs of older adults and LGBTQIA2S family models.
- Skilled in resource and referral navigation (e.g. food caregiving technology).
- Experienced in responding to elder mental and physical health needs.
- Knowledge and application of accessibility practices across physical digital and cultural environments.
- Skilled in supervising volunteers and staff while fostering a culture of equity and belonging.
- Experienced in designing and facilitating cultural competency training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite data systems tracking outcomes monitoring budgets and ensuring compliance.

Physical Requirements
Complete COVID vaccination is required. Ability to sit move around the center stoop bend and lift up to 25 pounds. Able to work in a community center setting with frequent and regular interruptions including early morning evening and weekend hours.
