About the job:
We are seeking a strategic and solutions-oriented leader to drive best-in-class governance across Walmarts Sourcing portfolio. This role is responsible for implementing and evolving the Strategic Portfolio Review process ensuring transparency prioritization and accountability across all sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of analytical rigor executive presence and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
What youll do:
- Portfolio Governance Leadership:Iterate launch and operationalize governance frameworks that centralize project intake enable structured prioritization and facilitate quarterly strategic reviews.
- Strategic Portfolio Review Process:Lead the end-to-end process including project tracking charter development prioritization modeling and executive-level reporting. Ensure alignment with sourcing strategy and enterprise goals.
- Cross-Functional Influence:Partner with Finance Strategy Merchandising and Product teams to gather inputs drive alignment and facilitate decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Executive Communication:Prepare and deliver high-impact updates and recommendations to senior leadership highlighting wins risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:Proactively identify blockers overlaps and inefficiencies across the portfolio. Recommend and implement solutions that improve speed to market resource utilization and strategic clarity.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:Develop and refine prioritization models and performance metrics to evaluate project impact urgency and resource needs.
Youll sweep us off our feet if you have:
- Proven experience in strategic portfolio management governance or program leadership within a complex organization. Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Demonstrated success in building and scaling governance processes.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data modeling KPI development and performance tracking.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in sourcing merchandising or product development is a plus.
