Food Service Team Member - Maternity Cover

Join our dynamic food service team in Glasgow United Kingdom for an exciting maternity cover opportunity! Were looking for a friendly and efficient Food Service Team Member to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high food quality standards in our fast-paced environment.

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and present food items according to company standards
• Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food service area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
• Assist in restocking supplies and organising storage areas
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any issues
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

The working shifts are: Monday to Friday - 7am till 3pm cover starts in October to the end of July 2026 to cover Maternity leave with scope to progress on to another role within the company. 

Qualifications :

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Flexibility to work and cover holidays & sicknessess
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in food service or customer-facing role preferred
• Food safety certification preferred
• Knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions a plus
• Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
