Job Description
- Attend to all maintenance fault diagnosis and installation of chillers dryers and air conditioning systems within the plant.
- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance on refrigeration equipment utilities and machinery.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of spare parts required and notify the Maintenance Manager promptly.
- Work towards minimizing equipment downtime with a goal of achieving zero unplanned downtime.
- Obtain and comply with work permits before initiating any major tasks in high-risk areas such as heights roofs or confined machine zones.
- Ensure proper documentation of all daily and weekly breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
- Strictly adhere to PPE usage and follow safety protocols when handling machines tools and electrical equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and the working area after completion of tasks ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- Certificate Level 3 or FTC in Refrigeration.
- 2 3 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical and refrigeration fundamentals.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
- Basic proficiency in Swahili and/or English for reading drawings and technical instructions.
- Understanding of electrical and refrigeration schematics.
