Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Mechanical Engineering Manager will manage all Mechanical maintenance activities of the plant by ensuring optimal availability of reliable equipment to the production team; minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan supervise and execute preventive corrective and predictive maintenance of all mechanical equipment (kiln crushers mills conveyors fans compressors etc.)
Oversee mechanical-related capital and plant improvement projects including installation upgrades and refurbishments.
Monitor equipment performance and maintain an effective equipment history and maintenance record
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure availability of critical spares and optimize inventory levels.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through efficient use of resources and optimized maintenance strategies.
Promote a safe working environment to ensure zero lost time accidents and compliance with statutory requirements
Continuously benchmark on plant and asset improvement areas to achieve world-class performance parameters
Requirements
Minimum qualifications;
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
5 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role
- Registered with the Engineering body (ERB)
Excellent planning execution and organizational abilities
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Troubleshooting skills on equipment failure.
