Senior Human Resources Generalist
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support with a strong focus on full-cycle recruitment training and development and employee engagement. This role plays a key part in supporting a positive workplace culture while ensuring HR practices are aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Schedule: This position is full-time exempt5 days 2-3 days onsite post probationary period. No nights or weekends.

Job Activities
Key activities of the position are below. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Top Key Activities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment including job postings screening interviewing and onboarding.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on interpreting HR policies procedures and benefit programs ensuring understanding and consistent application across the organization.
- Manage leave of absence requests (e.g. FMLA ADA parental leave) and workplace accommodations in accordance with legal and organizational policies.
- Support the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and personnel files.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and internal HR policies and procedures
Other Activities:
- Create multimedia training content (e.g. videos graphics presentations) tailored to various learner audiences and accessibility standards.
- Support HR functions related to employee relations reporting and general administrative tasks
- Participate in agency-wide initiatives DEIA efforts and HR events.
- Collaborate with all departments and attend training sessions as required
Key Success Measures:
- Timeliness and quality of recruitment and onboarding
- Compliance with HR documentation and policy implementation
- Timeliness of leave/accommodation processing and successful reintegration of employees post leave (e.g. average turnaround time for initiating or approving requests)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Education or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in HR generalist functions including recruitment training design and employee relations.
- Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite teams excel word power point etc
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Acceptable Substitutions
- High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of directly related experience.
- Associates degree plus 2 years of directly related experience.
- Masters degree in a related field may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Relevant national or state certification may substitute for 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading training teams or managing training functions.
- Experience delivering virtual training to large or geographically dispersed teams.
- Bilingual in English and another language commonly spoken by MVES employees or consumers (such as and not limited to Haitian Creole Spanish Chinese Mandarin Vietnamese)
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (e.g. ADP ApplicantPro).
Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Ability to travel locally and attend in-person/virtual events and training as needed.
- Communicate effectively through phone and video conferencing tools.
- Navigate various software applications and read information on a screen.
