TITLE: Lunchroom Aide - Part-time Up to 15 hours per weekSUMMARY: Reporting primarily to the Building Principal and secondarily to the Director of Food Services the Lunchroom Aide assists in maintaining an orderly safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria by supervising and supporting students during mealtime in accordance with school policy and district DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals and maintains an orderly system for food purchase waste disposal and tray/utensil students are seated in designated areas throughout their time in the among tables during mealtime to assist students monitor behavior and ensure cleanliness of tables and surrounding relevant concerns to classroom teachers and reports serious infractions or security concerns to the medical problems and injuries to the immediate attention of the school nurse and/or groups for orderly dismissal from the all school district policies rules and confidentiality regarding student information in accordance with district positive behavior including the use of appropriate language and tone at all in orientation programs and relevant staff development opportunities as provided by the QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:High School Diploma preferred. Minimum of one-year experience working with or supervising Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of student behavior management techniques. Ability to carry out tasks with attention to detail sound judgment and minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate with staff and students with courtesy and tact. Ability to perform job tasks in a timely and efficient DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to stand or sit for extended periods walk short and long distances communicate verbally and hear. The employee is required to use hands and arms to reach and may need to stoop kneel or crouch. Lifting or moving objects between 10 and 20 pounds may be required.
