Job Description
Financial Analyst Underpayment II- Patient Accounts Corporate 42nd Street (100% on site) -Full-Time Days
The Financial Analyst Underpayment II is a senior level analyst who gathers financial information analyzes that information and prepares reports so that Administrators and other departmental leadership can make recommendations. These reports provide internal control over fiscal activity on operating restricted fund and endowment accounts and other financial activities within the department.
Responsibilities
- Prepares reports as directed by the Assistant Vice President or Director. Does data mining analyses of underpaid claims and detail report reviews. Prepare standard monthly reporting for the AVP.
- Responsible for credit balance resolution.
- Collects reviews and investigates unpaid claims internally and with established payers
- May work with various Team Leads and/or Managed Care related to rate issues.
- Works required TRAC billing and work list deficiencies.
- Works all assigned listings from the Patient Accounts system.
- Coordinates with external parties for account validation.
- Mentors and trains less experienced Financial Analysts/revenue capture personnel.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of experience in Finance
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64562.72 - $81675.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
