About the role

An exciting Part time 0.8 EFT Leadership role opportunity for an internal secondment for a 4-week period. You will lead the wonderful connected and vibrant Camcare Community Support team.

The Community Support team deliver information referral support social connection and food relief and material aid in Boroondara to community members who seek support for various reasons including isolation housing relationship or financial stress. The services are provided by trained volunteers in an inclusive engaging culture from the Camcare Camberwell and Camcare Ashburton sites.

During the 4-week secondment you will also be part of the Health Promotion & Engagement leadership team (alongside Astrid Heather and Katrine). This role reports to Fiona Read Senior Manager Health Promotion & Engagement.

What you will be doing

  • Support volunteers who are delivering a range of services including information referral support and emergency relief in Camberwell and Ashburton
  • Meet the volunteers who are growing culturally appropriate fresh food in the Camcare gardens and coordinating the fresh food market to distribute this weekly
  • Participate in the free BBQs for clients
  • Support volunteers as needed to make referrals into other AccessHC services
  • Monitor performance against budget
  • Manage & oversee volunteer recruitment induction and training.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary graduate with a relevant qualification for the role and/or substantial experience in the field
  • Strong emotional and cultural intelligence ability to self-reflect
  • Great communicator who thrives on building strong organisational relationships with internal and external stakeholders and our community to benefit clients
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Demonstrated behaviours consistent with AccessHC values.

Compliance Requirements:

  • National Police Check Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Screening Check.
