A Day in the Life
In alignment with our mission to alleviate pain restore health and extend life we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support our Leads Manufacturing area. This individual will play a key role in advancing emergent products within a dynamic environment that fosters innovation technological advancement and continuous improvement.This position offers a unique opportunity to make meaningful technical contributions while ensuring our patients and customers receive medical devices of the highest safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
- Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products.
- Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.
- Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
- Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
- May develop and conduct statistical analysis or recommend additions to document work.
- Leads the innovation development and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts processes and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.
- This can include scouting and feasibility work material selection process and equipment selection tooling / fixture and equipment installation and assessment of inputs outputs and alignment to requirements.
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systems.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Nice to Have- Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in regulated industries
- Experience with equipment validation and process qualification for thermal and laser-based technologies
- Understanding of design of experiments (DOE) and data-driven decision making in process development
- Proficiency in technical documentation process maps and risk assessments (e.g. PFMEA)
- Hands-on experience with laser processing technologies (e.g. laser welding cutting ablation or marking) in a manufacturing or R&D environment
- Hands-on experience with thermal process development and optimization such as heat treatments thermal bonding or soldering techniques
- Project management skills including planning tracking milestones and cross-functional coordination
- Ability to manage projects or technical workstreams ensuring timely execution of deliverables
- Experience supporting process and product development activities including prototyping iterative testing and scaling from concept to production
