Departmental Preferences:
- A masters degree in Library Science Library & Information Studies or equivalent from an ALA-accredited library school OR experience working in a library setting as a library professional or paraprofessional.
- A Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
- One to two years of experience in a law library or law firm setting performing legal research and/or providing legal reference
- Knowledge of legal research methods and experience using legal resources including Westlaw Lexis Bloomberg Law or others

The Access Services Law Librarian manages the circulation functions of the law library. The core responsibilities of this position include:
- Oversees daily circulation operations including managing opening and closing procedures circulation desk activities and patron services across all service hours.
- Supervise and manage the circulation student workforce including hiring training scheduling performance evaluation and promoting a high standard of service.
- Develop staffing schedules and ensure consistent coverage across the librarys hours of operation.
- Provide mentorship for student workers.
- Catalogs and classifies materials.
- Provide interlibrary loan services including lending borrowing and document delivery.
- Supervise and manage the physical collections upkeep including stack maintenance shelf-reading shifting projects and reserve collection.
- Coordinate loose-leaf filing bindery functions and microform maintenance.
- Develops guides to the library collection and research aids using the LibGuides platform.
- Participates in collection development.
