Balanced Body is hiring!! We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resource Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist should have broad knowledge of human resources functions such as employee relations performance management training & development recruiting and compliance. This position will report to the HR Manager on a wide range of projects. This position will interact with all levels of management and employees to build a positive HR experience.


An ideal candidate will have a strong background in the following for this role which will be divided into the following categories:

  • Employee Relations (30%)
  • Performance Management (30%)
  • HR Training & Development (20%)
  • Recruiting Hiring Onboarding (10%)
  • Safety & Compliance (10%) OR Policy Management (10%)

To be successful in the position you will be able to meet deadlines demonstrate great attention to detail and consistency in following processes and work well individually and in a team environment. The individual we are seeking will be an excellent communicator and process-oriented. You should be comfortable working in a fluid environment where priorities may shift. Areas of Responsibility:

  • Employee Relations Communicate with employees and leaders on concerns conduct investigations while promoting a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management Participate in performance evaluations provide feedback and support leaders on goal setting.
  • Training & Development Identify needs create training programs execute and deliver training audit and track all certifications.
  • Participate in Recruiting activities to include job description updates resume review inviting candidates for open interviews Interview and track candidates in our applicant system.
  • Participate in onboarding and termination activities.
  • Generate maintain and present key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover rates hiring metrics and more.
  • Partner on reviewing and updating company policies. Staying abreast of changing federal state and international laws.
  • Maintain and audit physical and electronic employment files.
  • Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Respond to verification of employment and EDD claims.
  • Partner on compensation analysis.
  • Partner on benefit administration activities as needed.
  • Participate in monthly employee appreciation activities to include planning monthly events annual summer picnic and annual holiday party.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet company needs.
Requirements


  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in HR with a minimum of four (4) years in Employee Relations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources is preferred.
  • Prior experience developing and implementing training programs. High level of comfort delivering various training.
  • Knowledge of US Labor Laws: FLSA OSHA FMLA. Multi-state (CA TN CO OR) experience is preferred.
  • Experience with International HR Compliance is preferred.
  • Experience managing HRIS.
  • Exceptional verbal written and interactive communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
  • Self-directed with the ability to keep up with a very fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize changing tasks with a sense of urgency are necessary to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook

Work Schedule

This position is on-site and full-time Monday through Friday.
