Roper St. Francis Healthcare is opening the Health Pavilion at Sawmill Centre in Summerville featuring a 40000-square-foot ambulatory center and a 20000-square-foot medical office buildingset to see its first patients in 2026.
This expansion will bring enhanced access to emergency care imaging lab services outpatient surgery and womens health right in the heart of Dorchester and Berkeley counties. This position is slated to start in December of 2025.
Work Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm and as needed
Work Location: The new Sawmill Centre at Berlin G. Myers & Hwy 78
Additional Information: ARRT licensure in Radiography and/or CT is required. Strongly prefer prior leadership experience in Radiology and/or CT.
Job Summary: Responsible for daily operations (24/7) of all areas of responsibility at multiple facilities and/or multiple modalities with direct reports. Technically proficient in Imaging with the ability to develop a cohesive Imaging team within all RSFH Imaging facilities and coordinates operational functions including but not limited to: staff schedules supplies ordering and inventory management. Performs payroll maintenance employee evaluations hiring and counseling employee recognition regulatory compliance and fiscal/budgetary management. Identifies opportunities for operational and financial improvements serves on improvement teams (LEAN) and implements required changes. Technical and administrative duties as well as call may be required in conjunction with the above responsibilities. Responsible for operational excellence including budget and HR resource management to ensure delivery of high-quality services in accordance with applicable policies procedures and regulatory agencies. Assists with over all development growth and promotion of Imaging services. Leads/assists with all RSFH platform selections at multiple facilities as well as installation upgrades and education of technical and professional staff. Responsible for all patient employee and physician satisfaction and quality metrics at multiple facilities as delegated by Imaging Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professions. BA or BS degree in Healthcare Management Imaging or Business field is preferred; Masters degree highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of work experience in Imaging Services required; at least 5 years of Supervisory work experience in Imaging Services preferred. Experience must include a strong emphasis on personnel management operational productivity and fiscal responsibility.
Licensure/Certification: Registry specific to modality and/or area of responsibility required. Registry may include one or more of the following: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography MR CT or Mammography and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) orAmerican Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Certified or documentation that certification has been applied for with the SCRQSA required. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledgeable in basic management principles and interpersonal communications. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Knowledge of standards and regulations of OSHA DHEC FDA TJC and other local state or Federal governing organizations having jurisdiction over supervised area. Responsible for the safe operation of equipment. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles methods and techniques of Imaging services to perform and produce satisfactory diagnostic studies for interpretation when needed. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients hospital medical staff and the public. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME
1. Responsible for the overall care quality and process compliance of all patients having imaging procedures within managed modalities at all RSFH facilities. With the help and guidance of Radiologist Director of modality and appropriate Imaging Director establishes new clinical protocols or revises older protocols due to software and/or technology upgrades or installations. Accountable for patient satisfaction scores at established target levels and proactively manages this metric.

2. Has financial accountability for modalities throughout RSFH. With input of Lead(s) and Director helps with formulization of expense revenue and capital budgets and manages and maintains budgets within outlined metrics. Ensures that staff uses all supplies and resources with emphasis on cost containment and expense improvement. Operates areas of responsibility within HBSI 25 - 50% benchmark for expense/revenue/productivity metrics. Provides variance reports on all financial metrics when requested. With Director(s) and other RSFH Financial personnel assists in the development of Proforma Return on Investment (ROI) and other financial projections to assess growth and business opportunities and justify accompanying required added resources. With Director(s) and aligned with RSFH growth initiatives plans for growth and expansion of services through productivity improvements service delivery enhancements marketing and promotions.

3. Responsible for the most efficient utilization of resources including but not limited to HR and equipment within modalities and across RSFH. Ascertains best clinical and productivity capability with differing system equipment platforms HR resources and professional coverage and schedules types of procedures and patients accordingly. Ensures cross training and orientation of staff to different locations to ensure coverage at all sites and promote teamwork within span of control. Works with Imaging Director to strategically plan for expansion of imaging services encompassing HR resource planning as well and/or replacement/upgrade of imaging equipment with attention to minimizing schedule disruptions.

4. Performs all necessary RSFH human resources related activities including group or individual Interviews recommendation to Imaging Peer Interview process and subsequent hiring of successful candidate. With Imaging Director formulates performance evaluation tools (LEM and/or SEM) for self and all supervised and evaluates on formal basis at least twice a year and provides continuous performance feedback on regular basis. Accountable for employee satisfaction scores at established target levels and proactively manages this metric.

5. Communicates as necessary with Imaging Director other Staff as necessary and/or Radiologist or other medical staff as necessary regarding problematic operational issues or challenges within area. Is effective in both verbal and written communications and may be required to write routine/ discrepancy reports or make group presentations within department or RSFH. Communicates goals new procedures/policies initiatives and group solves with all staff through regular individual rounding and/ or group meetings.

6. Adheres to hospital departmental and safety policies and procedures and is responsible for establishing safe environment for self staff and patients. Ensures the practice of good radiation protection in accordance with ALARA principle and follows established guidelines mandates and/or recommendations by SC DHEC Bureau of Radiologic Health ACR FDA TJC and other local state or Federal governing organizations having jurisdiction over supervised area. Ensures proper use of radiation monitoring devices and other protective radiation or infection control equipment or gear.
