JOB TITLE: Mental Health Training Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fee For Service

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Mental Health Awareness
MHAT will utilize the evidenced based training curriculums of Mental Health First Aide (MHFA) and YMHFA (Youth) to train individuals and groups that can benefit from mental health awareness training in the communities CHR serves. We seek to train a diverse group of individuals including social and human service staff criminal justice professionals veterans first responders k-12 teachers/staff and community college personnel and others. This will enhance overall community awareness of mental health disorders
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides consultation direction and leadership within the team.
- Acquire and maintain MHFA and YMHFA Instructor Certification. Ensure staff acquire and maintain the same Instructor Certifications.
- Provide MHFA and YMHFA training to professional and social service providers from a variety of agencies and companies.
- Ensure all trainings complete sign-in sheets participant satisfaction and knowledge-based surveys.
- Organize training materials including curricula and resource manual.
- Develop a network of agencies to market MHFA to and engage in training commitments.
- Oversees hiring training and performance management of staff within the program.
- Facilitates team meetings.
- Participates in internal and external meetings as needed by program and agency.
- Ensures program and agency documentation is completed in a timely manner and according to program agency funder and accreditation/licensing standards.
- Acts as primary point person for program and provides back up coverage as needed by program and agency.
- Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles/if applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skill and knowledge in the following:
- Knowledge and experience of assessment diagnosis and treatment for assigned population; risk assessment crisis management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership organizational and planning skills.
Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
Education: Masters degree in mental health related field.
Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years experience providing direct services in a mental health related field. Supervisory experience preferred not required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensure preferred but not required.
Training: Experience in related program service preferred

COMPENSATION*:
$35.00/hour
*Our per diem and fee for service positions offer a flat hourly rate.
