Job Summary:


The Director of Patient AR Services reports to the EVP/CFO and is a management role focused on overseeing the patient accounts receivable functions within Jordan Valley. This includes managing payment posting denials and non-contractual adjustments collections and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The director analyzes AR reports and drives the resolution of complex AR issues.


Direct plan and manage the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of payment posting AR follow-up and denial management for multiple clinical specialties.


Partner daily with the Director of Revenue Integrity and the Director of Patient Engagement and staff to maximize Revenue Cycle efficiencies and reimbursement.


Develop recommendations for policies procedures and system improvements and upon approval by EVP/CFO implement while ensuring regulatory compliance.


Other responsibilities:

  • Manage AR functions: Oversee all aspects of accounts receivable including collections and payment posting.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations related to AR management and collections.
  • Develop Policies and Procedures: Create and implement policies and procedures for efficient and compliant AR operations.
  • Monitor and Analyze AR: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to AR analyze reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Resolve Complex Issues: Collaborate with the Investigate and resolve complex billing and payment issues.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare scheduled and on demand financial reports and forecasts related to accounts receivable.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of AR professionals fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Revenue Cycle Optimization: Collaborate with other departments to optimize the revenue cycle and maximize reimbursement.

  • Strong AR knowledge: Extensive understanding of healthcare billing coding and reimbursement processes.

  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with EPIC EHR healthcare billing and AR software systems.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field.
  • Masters Degree preferred but not required.
  • Relevant certifications in revenue cycle management strongly preferred (CRCR HFMA or similar)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role with similar scope and responsibility.
