The Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center (WACTC) seeks an innovative passionate Digital Media Instructor to lead our high school Career & Technical Education (CTE) Digital Media program. This program blends fine arts creativity with cutting-edge technology preparing students for careers in multimedia film photography and related fields. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills industry experience and a commitment to guiding students toward industry-recognized credentials postsecondary education and employment in high-demand creative industries.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Teach multimedia production including video editing audio manipulation motion graphics special effects and digital fine arts principles with industry-standard software and hardware (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite DSLR cameras audio recording equipment).Develop and update curriculum to align with Rhode Island CTE standards and local labor market students in creating professional portfolios and preparing for industry work-based learning opportunities internships and dual-enrollment courses with partner students in Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) such as with employers postsecondary institutions and the school community to enhance student learning and career student progress through both technical skill performance and creative problem-solving.Required Qualifications:Secondary Grades CTE Teacher- Audiovisual: Graphics Communications Technology or the ability to obtain certification with an Associates Degree with 3 years of experience in the fieldDemonstrated proficiency with multimedia tools (Adobe Premiere Pro Photoshop AfterEffects Illustrator etc.)Experience in curriculum development aligned with industry ability to mentor and inspire high school integrating industry certifications into the of CTE pathways from secondary to postsecondary communication collaboration and organizational to equity inclusion and supporting diverse learners.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree
