Shaker Regional School District is seeking a qualified and passionate Licensed Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting students with disabilities in the school environment. The Physical Therapist will work with students ages insert age/grade range providing services as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and New Hampshire Department of Education (NHDOE) :Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students gross motor mobility balance posture and access needs in the school environmentDevelop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to physical therapy in collaboration with the IEP teamDeliver direct and consultative PT services in school-based settings including classrooms gyms playgrounds and hallwaysSupport students access to curriculum and school participation through mobility training environmental adaptations and motor skill developmentProvide training and support to educational staff (e.g. teachers paraprofessionals) on safe student handling positioning and strategies for motor skill generalizationParticipate in IEP meetings team collaboration sessions and student support planningMaintain accurate documentation of services evaluations and progress reports in compliance with federal and state guidelinesCollaborate with Occupational Therapists Speech-Language Pathologists Special Educators and Behavioral Teams as neededAssist with equipment needs (e.g. adaptive seating mobility aids) safety assessments and recommendations for physical accommodationsProvide input and planning for Extended School Year (ESY) and transitions when appropriateQualifications:Required:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy programCurrent NH Physical Therapy LicenseExperience working with children or adolescents with developmental delays and/or physical disabilitiesKnowledge of IDEA school-based service models and IEP developmentPreferred:Experience in a school-based or pediatric settingFamiliarity with assistive devices adaptive equipment and inclusive access planningStrong communication and collaboration skills
