Dream Industrial is looking for a Building Operator in Kitchener-Waterloo!

Over your 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance youve learned to treat buildings with care and their tenants with even greater dedication. You always look for the best way to do things and arent afraid to think outside the box to find the best answer. You address every request with a smile and in a timely manner no matter how big or small and you also know how to prioritize your multiple tasks.
We want you on board because you can work independently but are a team player and your team and tenants trust you. That stems from you really liking people which shows in how you interact with others and the ease with which you communicate.

What will you do
Simply put you will be responsible for maintenance and building operations. Below are some of the primary responsibilities that entails; well discuss the others in person:
- Carry out and/or Supervise preventative maintenance and regular inspections on HVAC plumbing mechanical and life safety systems;
- Complete tenant service calls such as changing lights heating/cooling calls a safe and professional manner;
- Oversee the appearance and safety of the properties;
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions/recommendations;
- Oversee contractors and ensure they abide by contract guidelines and project timelines;
- Respond to emergency after hours calls as required;
- Communicate with Property Management on building and tenant issues regularly;
- Maintain maintenance and daily logs of equipment including meter readings;
- Maintain keys and locks register
There are also some physical requirements associated with this job. Here are some of the fun things well need you to confirm you can do:
- Bending twisting crouching climbing and reaching
- Move and lift equipment and supplies
- A combination of walking standing sitting and driving. There wont be too much sitting at all so dont worry about getting restless.
What type of experience do you have
These are only some of the things wed like you to bring to the table. We can cover the rest when we meet:
- Youve gained your experience in an industrial/commercial/office/retail Real Estate environment
- You have a valid and clean Class G drivers license
- You are familiar with safety and fire codes and WHMIS procedures;
- Your computer and communications skills are above par
