Job Description
About the Role
This Assistant Designer position will provide design support for Mens and Womens Denim and Non-Denim Bottoms.
Youll Make a Difference By
- Centric/PLM Package Issuance: Issuing development packages to vendors including sketches BOM design reviews sample requests.
- SMU Design/Bottoms:Setting up color cads for account review issue packages review samples
- Replenishment/Counter-source Product Development: Assisting with sketch and BOM management for carryover product including identifying sketch and BOM detail consistency for counter-sourcing.
- Sample Review:Assisting in identifying variances in color scale stitching quality/SPI measurement specs between design product/trim submit and the vendors sample and provide clear comments to vendor. Garments and pocket mock-ups.
- Factory Correspondence: Assisting in communicating design comments and package issuance to vendors.
- Misc.: Taking on miscellaneous projects including sample management line presentation sales meeting preparation design tools BOM and sketch alignment etc.
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- 1-3 years design experience with basic knowledge of outdoor workwear and/or denim product design and construction preferred
- Exceptional communication skills-verbal written and strong ability to communicate visually (key trend images photographs diagrams sketches)
- Positive learning mindset who is motivated enthusiatic and performs well in a fast-paced highly collaborative dynamic team environment
- Ability to follow established processes
- Detail orientated with outstanding follow-through
- Ability to prioritize work handle mutliple tasks and meet calendar deadlines independently of supervision
- Responsive to feedback and capable of adapting quickly to change
- 2-3 years Adobe Illustrator (CADS Design Sketches)
- Experience with PLM (Centric is a plus)

The hourly rate for this position is $30 per hour.
The salary is determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This contract position may be eligible for select benefits through the payrolling agency. Benefits may include medical dental and vision insurance options and 401k.
