Johnson & Johnson MedTech Orthopaedics is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Sr. VELYS Strategic Specialist to join the new VELYS Strategic Solutions Team reporting through Joint Reconstruction Marketing Operations. This is a pivotal role for an experienced clinical professional who seeks to make a significant impact on the adoption and utilization of our VELYS Digital Surgery platform.

The Opportunity: Drive Innovation and Strategic Growth

As a Sr. VELYS Strategic Specialist you will function at the pinnacle of our Clinical Experience team responsible for ensuring the successful integration and sustained use of our VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the clinical experience ensuring HCP confidence and surgical outcomes.

You will be tasked with:

  • Proactive Clinical Observation: You will be a key driver of our proactive CREDO-based approach to clinical excellence. By utilizing the JJMT Orthopaedics TKA and UKA Log Viewer you will retrospectively observe clinical log files during new account launches and new surgeon onboarding. This process allows for the identification of coaching opportunities continuous improvement in surgical outcomes and a reduction in the learning curve for new users directly influencing the speed and success of technology adoption.
  • Interventional Clinical Problem-Solving: When challenges arise you will be the point person for an interventional CREDO-based approach to problem resolution. Youll work in a fast-paced environment to analyze retrospective clinical logs develop root cause analyses and formulate resolution plans. By engaging HCPs in data-driven discussions you will re-establish confidence enhance their experience and reinforce their trust in the VELYS platform.
  • Strategic Account Partnership: You will develop and execute targeted strategies for accounts with a softening utilization trend. Your analysis of clinical data will not only address surgeon concerns but also inform strategic decisions to increase utilization and procedural adoption turning clinical challenges into opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: You will collaborate with Commercial Marketing Professional Education and R&D teams sharing critical insights that inform business strategy and future product development. Youll serve as a change agent demonstrating leadership and an enterprise-wide mindset to drive results in a matrixed organization.


What Were Looking For: A Blend of Clinical Expertise and Strategic Leadership

The ideal candidate possesses a unique combination of deep clinical knowledge problem-solving prowess and strategic business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Authority: Youll be the expert on the full VELYS suite including the VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution VELYS Hip Navigation and connected patient Insights software as well as the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Joint Reconstruction implant portfolio.
  • Mentorship and Growth: You will actively mentor and train new team members foster a growth mindset and lead by example through Credo-based leadership behaviors.
  • Professional Presence: You will represent Johnson & Johnson MedTech at top-tier society events build strong relationships with surgeons and key opinion leaders and deliver impactful oral and written presentations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree or six years of total joint sales experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy and robotic arthroplasty with strong clinical experience in an OR environment.
  • A minimum of 18 months of hands-on clinical experience with VRAS Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) in surgery.
  • Clinical experience with a minimum of 6 independent cases with VRAS Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty (UKA) in surgery.
  • Proven ability to work independently manage priorities effectively and maintain the highest standards of ethics and compliance.
  • Exceptional written verbal and public speaking skills.
  • High level of interest in medical devices software hospital IT and video technology.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $91000 to $147200.

The Company maintains highly competitive performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.

Vacation up to 120 hours per calendar year

Work Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
