Job Description

As a Risk Manager for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) at Amazon you will play a crucial role in our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices. Youll lead efforts to ensure Amazons compliance with EPR regulations across multiple jurisdictions focusing on waste streams such as packaging electronics and batteries amongst this position youll leverage your strategic thinking analytical skills and stakeholder management abilities to develop innovative solutions optimize compliance processes and support Amazons goals while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end process of Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) selection and contracting across the South America Africa and APAC regions including tender management contract negotiation and relationship maintenance to ensure optimal compliance partnerships

Manage Amazons registration and reporting obligations with public authorities ensuring timely submissions and maintaining accurate documentation while developing automated tracking systems

Develop and implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for EPR compliance processes incorporating automated workflows and clear escalation paths for exception handling

Coordinate responses to regulatory audits and oversee the implementation of remediation actions partnering with cross-functional teams to develop sustainable solutions and prevent recurring compliance gaps

- 4 years of compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information

- 3 years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
