Department Profile:
The IM Technology team partners with Investment Management businesses to develop and implement innovative data-driven solutions. The team is responsible for ensuring the integrity accuracy and efficiency of investment data across the enterprise.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead who can provide technical leadership and guidance to the team of engineers while also being hands-on with Java/Python SQL and designing and architecting solutions to IM Private Alternatives business. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills expertise in one programming language along with good understanding data a collaborative leader and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Guide the team in best practices for coding architecture and design. Review code and ensure high-quality standards.
- Hands-on Development: Design develop test and maintain robust applications using Java Python and SQL.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead a team of engineers helping them grow technically and professionally. Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
- Project Oversight: Drive end-to-end delivery of technical solutions from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers QA DevOps and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Architecture & Design: Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategies to scale and improve system performance.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring system reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of professional experience in software development.
- Expertise in Java/Python and SQL.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of system design data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL) and writing complex queries.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
