The Role
Youll lead coverage of current events in the Tatler world working closely with the Features desk to ensure seamless integration of digital features on the website. Youll also be responsible for executing our data-driven audience growth strategy across digital platforms collaborating with Tatlers Social Media Editor to strengthen our social media presence.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent awareness of digital trends and be able to apply them to engage Tatlers unique audience. A genuine interest in Tatlers subject matter and a keen understanding of its position as a luxury product with a news edge is essential - as is an in-depth understanding of SEO analytics social media and the commercial side of the publishing industry.
What will you be doing
Curate Tatlers digital offering on .
Generate and commission Tatlers top-quality digital news content and keep a finger on the pulse of Tatler-related current events.
Work closely with Tatlers Features desk to curate Tatlers digital features offering.
Maximise the impact and reach of video content generated by Tatlers team.
Strategise and execute data-driven growth tactics to increase readership video views and engagement on a 24/7 content schedule.
Own and lead regular analysis of articles feeding back to the Editor to optimise existing content and future output.
Track all key performance metrics build weekly and monthly reports in addition to ad hoc requests.
Lead the Tatler teams SEO efforts by providing advice both in real time and via regular team meetings.
Monitor social SEO and all analytics platforms alerting the team to breaking events and trending topics to maximise traffic.
Act as a brand ambassador with a willingness to attend events out of hours and an understanding of the Tatler milieu.
About you
Proven track record of outstanding journalism including a keen understanding of the importance of witty headlines and clever standfirsts.
Brilliant written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of social media channels and platforms including Facebook Twitter and Instagram.
Proven experience using and acting on data collected from key analytics tools: Google Analytics Twitter Analytics Facebook Insights and others.
Absolutely must have an entrepreneurial spirit strong work ethic and an inquisitive approach.
