Tri-County is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Part-Time HVAC Instructor to join our vocational technical education team. The ideal candidate will have substantial industry experience in heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration systems and a passion for preparing high school students for careers in the skilled position involves teaching in a Chapter 74-approved program aligning instruction with Massachusetts Vocational Technical Education Frameworks and maintaining a safe and engaging learning teachers may be eligible for the Critical Shortage Waiver through the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System (MTRS) and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) allowing you to return to the classroom without affecting your pension benefits!Responsibilities:* Deliver high-quality instruction in HVAC/R theory systems and safety practices to students in grades 912* Teach both academic and hands-on technical skills including diagnostics installation maintenance and repair* Prepare students for OSHA 10 certification and related industry credentials* Maintain an organized clean and safe shop environment* Collaborate with vocational and academic staff to support student achievement* Monitor student progress complete assessments and maintain accurate records* Ensure alignment with Massachusetts Vocational Technical Education Frameworks for HVAC/R* Maintain tools equipment and inventory in accordance with school safety standards* Participate in professional development parent conferences and school activities as needed
