Job Description

Position Description

Concordia University seeks applicants for the full-time exempt position of Assistant Network Administrator. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining the University server internet and network systems. This position reports to the Senior Director of Technology and is located on the Mequon Wisconsin campus.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until successful candidates are identified.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft O365 environment.
  • Oversee and administer servers and network management.
  • Support and manage Microsoft SCCM.
  • Assist with support and maintenance of computer desktops.
  • Research and develop new technologies.
  • Evaluate and deploy new software hardware and operating systems.
  • Stay current in the field by reading publications attending training courses and seminars.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Superior technical knowledge and experience in operating systems software and hardware in an academic setting
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems such as Microsoft Linux and Macintosh
  • Ability to install setup and troubleshoot network applications
  • Strong communication interpersonal and organization skills
  • Able to work independently with general supervision and direction
  • Willing to work some evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Education & Experience

A degree in Information Technology and/or related work experience is required. Academic computing experience preferred.
