Job Title:Forklift Engineer - Field based
Salary: 35-41K PA DOE
Location: Bolton and surrounding area

Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing repair and maintenance of diesel and electric forklift trucks including hydraulic systems transmissions engines and batteries
- Diagnose electrical mechanical and hydraulic faults and execute corrective repairs on-site or in workshop environments
- Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
- compliance and safety standards
- Complete accurate job sheets service reports parts usage logs and client communications for each assignment
- Maintain van stock levels liaise with parts controllers or service managers and escalate quotes for major repairs
Required Qualifications & Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance Motor Vehicle Engineering Plant Maintenance or equivalent vocational qualification or higher
- Proven experience in mechanical hydraulic and basic electrical fault finding ideally including forklift trucks or plant machinery
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills proficiency using diagnostic tools or handheld devices
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to work independently or within a team
