The Role: Power Systems Team Manager Melbourne Australia
A leadership opportunity is available within a high-performing Grid & Power Systems team. This group plays a key role in helping clients navigate compliance and efficiency challenges particularly around power systems studies and grid connection standards for energy generation projects.
As thePower Systems Team Manager youll lead a team of 10 engineers who are deeply involved in connecting clean energy projectssuch as wind solar and storageto the grid.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of power systems studies from feasibility through commissioning.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables are produced on time and within scope.
- Manage team resourcing project prioritization and client expectations.
- Provide leadership and support on technically complex or high-stakes projects.
- Forecast workload and identify opportunities for new work.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor team members and support recruitment efforts.
- Contribute to internal operations and management processes.
What Youll Bring
- 10 years of experience in power systems engineering.
- Proficiency with tools like PSS/E and PSCAD.
- Familiarity with the NEM generator connection process and working with NSPs/AEMO.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for clean energy.
- Ability to manage client relationships and navigate challenging situations.
